President Prabowo Subianto received a red carpet welcome on Wednesday when he arrived in the UK, the final stop of his five-country tour. He had just concluded his debut G20 appearance in Brazil, and this visit was at the invitation of King Charles III.
At London Stansted Airport, Prabowo was greeted by the King’s representative, Charles Anderson, and other diplomats, highlighting the significance of his visit.
During his time in London, Prabowo is set to attend the CEO Roundtables, where UK and Indonesian business leaders will discuss strengthening cooperation in areas like technology and infrastructure.
Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya are accompanying Prabowo as part of his delegation. The tour began on November 8 and included stops in China, the US, Peru, and Brazil.
Prabowo also hinted at extending his trip to the Middle East, depending on scheduling, showing his commitment to expanding Indonesia’s international ties.
