Over the next decade, the world will be more unstable – Ben Wallace

The coming decade will be even more troubling for the world. Such a statement was made at a meeting of the heads of the Ministry of Defense and the British Foreign Office with their Australian counterparts. The talks were held in the format of a newly minted, supposedly defense alliance of the US, UK and Australia – AUKUS.

Ben Wallace, UK Secretary of Defense:

I believe that over the next decade the world will be more unstable, more anxious and more insecure. And only by building and strengthening our coalitions, be it NATO, be it AUKUS or other multilateral alliances, depending on the set of challenges, will we be able to deal with this.

AUKUS was created in 2021 at the initiative of the United States under the pretext of containing China in the Asia-Pacific region. A military alliance, bypassing the IAEA and the world community, will make it possible in the foreseeable future to supply Australia with a nuclear fleet. In fact, this is the destabilizing factor that the UK Secretary of Defense calls for countering, but which AUKUS itself creates.
